I read this book in a bookstore. The recommendation to get your fiber through a supplement is really beyond the pale. How about broccoli, bananas, yams, prunes, and other REAL food? Yet another book that does readers a huge disservice by steering readers away from good food. Steer clear.

I didn’t buy this book because I wanted to look through it first so I stopped in the bookstore to read it before buying it. It was 24.95 in B&N for the hardcover so the price on Amazon really is good.
The first thing I did was read through the way she figures out if you are supposed to be on a low carb diet or a high carb/low fat diet. I knew that I would be of the low carb type so I then looked up that diet. For breakfast every day I would make a smoothie of laxative, fruit, peanut butter, yogurt and cottage cheese. Some mornings the recipe is different, for example, a pumpkin smoothie. I don’t enjoy smoothies and don’t drink them normally and would NEVER take a laxative first thing in the morning, what a terrible idea! No wonder you’d lose weight on this diet!

This is an excellent book with very important information.
All the programs are concisely planned for each body type.
Two thirds of the book is dedicated to body type and nutrition. Anyone who has tried to lose weight knows that you must put a higher percentage of your effort and concentration on healthy nutrition and a lower percentage on exercise (strength and cardio, still very important.) Well, this book gives a complete program for both. You will learn about a “Secret Weapon” as Cassandra calls it, Glucomannan. You will have to read the book to learn more. This weapon really WORKS!
You can follow the nutrition program or plan your own with the food list provided for each body type. Recipes are also provided that you can add to your own plan.
I must add she doesn’t slight the exercise programs in anyway. Infact, they are some of the best programs for each body type I have seen. She works the body correctly for each type which is very important because one size doesn’t fit all in this case and no contraindicated exercises are suggested.
You will be fit, healthy and in shape if you follow your prescribed plan.
Thank you Cassandra for such an enlightened book.
